Nathan built his career from the shop floor up, beginning with sweeping and pipe work before moving into modeling, fabrication, and coordination.

He built and installed assemblies he had first detailed, and later led design teams. That background informs the practice: consider what happens after a model becomes a drawing, reaches the shop and arrives in the field.
